Dr. Pry to Address the NC General Assembly’s Joint Committee on Emergency Preparedness January 18th

The law firm of Robertson & Associates is pleased to announce that Dr. Peter Vincent Pry will address the North Carolina General Assembly’s Joint Committee on Emergency Preparedness Oversight at the January 18th meeting in Raleigh.

Dr. Pry is the Chief of Staff of the Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Task Force on National and Homeland Security. Dr. Pry will address the North Carolina Joint Committee on Emergency Preparedness Oversight, focusing on the threats to and the vulnerability of North Carolina’s electric grid to both naturally occurring and man-made risks and the solutions to such threats.

Dr. Pry is testifying before the Joint Committee at the request of the committee’s’ co-Chairman, Representative John Faircloth and Senator Ron Rabin.

“We are gravely concerned about the threats to our families’ electrical supply due to the possibility of an EMP and Cyber attacks. The evidence is clear that these events can happen but are preventable!” – Richard Robertson

In his prior testimony to Congress, Dr. Pry had described the risk to the electrical grid because of solar storms, cyber-attacks or the explosion of a high altitude nuclear weapon over the United States.
